Abramowitz
She is the author of the book that I am currently reading in my engineering class. It gives some insight of what architects and engineers should expect as they progress through their education and their career. I actually find it to be really appealing and enlightening.
This past weekend, I had informative discussions with my older cousin, a construction manager at a successful company, and my uncle, a top executive at Cal Trans, regarding my future profession. I feel that I learned more listening to them and their experiences than all that I have learned at Cal Poly. They really know their shit, and they really love what they do. It just discourages me how other experienced students tell me that they’ve failed many times. I spoke to a student who was in his 6th year, and he said that he still needed 3 more years. Fck, that’s like elementary school all over again. Oh well. I’m actually starting to like my major. I feel like it’s something that I would enjoy doing as well.
